Have you ever seen the FSC label? The FSC label can be found on products you use in your everyday life–from books to tissues and other paper products. These labels indicate that the paper or wood product has been made from responsible sources and has met the Forest Stewardship Council’s (FSC) environmental and social standards.
FSC Friday, which began in 2008, is an annual event held the last Friday in September (September 27, 2019). FSC Friday raises awareness about responsible forest management. According to the FSC’s website, its vision is to “meet our current needs for forest products without compromising the health of the world’s forests for future generations.”
As we primarily manufacture wood products, Cooper Enterprises has become FSC-certified to offer FSC-certified material upon request. We have been FSC-certified since 2013. This year, we have received the most customer orders that include FSC-certified material, compared to the past six years we have been certified. Most of these jobs are for casework orders.
